One Week. 45 Secrets.
by Mr. UnSpoken on Jul.12, 2010, under Personal Blog
So… it hasn’t even been a week and there are 45 secrets submitted to the website.
Talk about a lot of pent-up secrecy. I missed what this place did for people and hearing about how it helped so many through incredibly difficult times. Hopefully we can regain the popularity and visitor count like we used to have, and can grow into a larger support network for one another. I finally was able to integrate Facebook into the website, as you’ll notice the new “Like” buttons on the home page and the New Secrets page. Don’t worry, though! It won’t tie you to your submissions – it’s just a shorter way of becoming a Fan of the UnSpoken Secrets Facebook page. So – enjoy yourselves, and be sure to tell a friend.
Thanks for always being there,

Secrets Always Matter
by Mr. UnSpoken on Jul.05, 2010, under Defining Secrets
“When Unspoken Secrets was first shut down,
I was so mad at mr. unspoken…
I felt like every secret I ever wrote meant nothing…”
This made my heart drop, reading this. When the site was closed, I had a flurry of emails, messages and public blog postings discussing how it felt: some experiences being described as losing a friend or a loved one. Your secrets always matter, no matter if they’re posted here, written on a napkin or whispered into the wind. UnSpoken Secrets or not; any way for you to relieve the pressure or get it off of your chest is what really matters. Your secret could be as minor as a lost romance or as emotionally in depth as an abusive relationship; all secrets matter. They matter to you, they matter to me, they matter to everyone who reads this site.
Don’t forget that.

Feels Good To Be Back
by Mr. UnSpoken on Jul.05, 2010, under Personal Blog
Ah,
It feels so good to be back on the internet. Sometimes life gets in the way of the things we love the most… and we forget how many people rely on you, or count on you, and depend on you to keep on doing what you’re doing because it helps them in a major way. I’ve let down a lot of people by letting this site go. Friendships were altered, emotions ran haywire, people who relied heavily on this place to provide a sense of comfort were let down – and I deeply apologize for that.
This site will always be online, even if no secrets comes in for months at a time. If in the event my own personal life is too much to handle, I will “bring on” volunteers to help manage the site and keep the secrets rolling. It’s been over a year since UnSpoken Secrets was open last and people are still showing up and getting excited as if it were yesterday.
Thank you – every single person – who has become a regular member of the site, told a friend, or just had even a bit of relief from simply accessing it and knowing that you’re not alone. I’ll be using this site to talk about life in general, thoughts and views on current events, evaluating and depiciting select secrets, as well as providing a way for you to contact me and having your secret discussed through the blog.
It feels good to be home.
